Seeds of Change S21049 Review by C. Fugate (Tennessee, USA)
I first encountered these unique eggplants in the same place I'm sure many others did, as part of a flower arrangement that was being sold at Walmart this year around Halloween. When they began to rot from age, I cut one open to harvest seeds, and like most eggplants the things were virtually nothing but seeds. Must have been hundreds in one small pumpkin-looking fruit. Well, after that I got to thinking that they could be hybridized with any number of other closely related specimens, and I should probably do the safe thing and get seeds I know won't turn purple or some such on me.
So, I ordered these. And don't get me wrong, there's probably 50+ seeds in this package. More than any sane person would have need of, but the plastic zip-lock style bag they came in was fairly large, which makes the moderate amount of small seeds look fairly disappointing by comparison.
Won't be able to say what kind of quality the seeds are until next year's growing season though. I'll come back and edit this if they end up having sent me the wrong thing or the like.
